Our Santa Cruz client had large home building project going on concurrently with landscape establishment and olive orchard installation.  The project as a whole is Leeds Platinum Certified, so the trees had to be planted in different phases, as parts of the property were finished.  We were called in after the first of 4 phases were completed.  The trees that were brought in were about 20-30 years old, and had been transplanted after phase one of the construction was completed.  We were called because these expensive transplanted trees were dying, and fortunately, we were able to save every one. Our client then kept us on for the other three phases of transplants, and helped source the trees from older olive orchards around California.  The trees aren't solely for beauty; they are also producing a really nice crop and a terrific extra virgin olive oil.
