Our client purchased a ranch in Sonoma County on Starr Road that had previously been planted as an olive orchard.  The trees range in age from 30 years to 120 years old.  Most of the orchard had been removed by a previous owner, save several hundred olive trees along a driveway and a seasonal creek.  Our job was to ascertain the feasibility of bringing the orchard back to production.  After visiting the property and determining what a true treasure trove that these trees represented, we began in earnest the next phase, which was renewal pruning to rejuvenate the orchard. The orchard has since performed admirably, with good yields and excellent extra virgin olive oil.
